A convenience store in Owings Mills got a prize for selling a top-tier winning ticket, according to the Maryland Lottery.

OWINGS MILLS, MD — A Royal Farms in Owings Mills sold a winning lottery ticket recently, according to the Maryland Lottery.
The winner was a traveling nurse assistant from the Eastern Shore who saw the Monopoly X20 scratch-off game and purchased 13 of them, lottery officials said.
She was buying a soda at the Royal Farms on Red Run Boulevard in Owings Mills when she first saw the $5 scratch-off.

“I cried and almost fainted!” the 26-year-old told lottery officials.
Her prize added up to $50,000, which she reportedly plans to put toward buying a house and car.

The Royal Farms at 10988 Red Run Boulevard will get a $500 bonus for selling a top-tier ticket.
