A Family Affair Children's Center

We have a full preschool program serving children ages two through five years old. We use creative curriculum which is a theme based, teacher created curriculum. We have a music teacher who comes once a week and we take several field trips a year. Our 2’s and 3’s Program In our 2’s and 3’s room we focus on helping children master self-care tasks such as toilet-training and using cups and forks as well as building social skills. We also lay the foundation for future academic learning with the basics such as the alphabet, colors, and basic math skills such as patterns and counting. Our 4’s and 5’s Program Our 4’s and 5’s program focuses on Kindergarten readiness. We cover all developmental areas including literacy, math concepts, science, social skills, music, and art all couched within a fun and interactive theme such as “Animals” or “The Beach.” Learning activities related to each of those topics are done throughout the week. Before and After School Care We provide before and after school care for children who attend Pine Grove or Harford Hills Elementary. We are open when schools are closed. We do a variety of indoor and outdoor activities such as: ○ Table games ○ Crafts ○ Legos ○ Outdoor play We also offer homework help, a morning and afternoon snack. Children are picked up and dropped off from the center by the BCPS bus system. Summer Camp We offer a school age summer camp for Kindergarten—5th graders. A new grocery store is coming to the Loch Raven area. The <a href="http://www.bizjournals.com/baltimore/blog/real-estate/2012/06/aldis-supermarket-signs-lease-for.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Baltimore Business Journal reports</a> that <a href="http://aldi.us/index_ENU_HTML.htm" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Aldi</a> has signed a lease for a store at Loch Raven Plaza, located at the intersection of Loch Raven Boulevard and Taylor Avenue. Aldi also owns , which has a location at 1 E. Joppa Road in Towson. The BBJ also reports that <a href="http://www.aarons.com/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Aaron's</a> has signed a lease for 7,556 square feet, the remainder of the former Superfresh, which moved to Towson Marketplace in 1999. As Towson Patch reported earlier this month, that store's former space , with a store set to open late this year or in early 2013.
