McAvoy’s Owners Win Hope and Peace Award
The Parkville businesses owners were named the Hope and Peace Foundation's Community Partner of the Year.

The owners of McAvoy's sports bar are being honored for more than just running a great place to watch the game.
Bill and Diane Schmittenger and Adam and Maria Bloom, of Bel Air, will be honored by Baltimore-based Hope and Peace Foundation’s Community Partner of the Year during an award ceremony at 7 p.m., April 13 at the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 34, 734 Wampler Road, according to a news release.
"At a time when many businesses have been forced to cut out charitable donations, McAvoy’s has sponsored or hosted over 20 events annually to benefit causes and charities within the community," the news release reads.
