Parkville Crime: Burglar Steals Piggy Bank

The following information was obtained from the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Putty Hill Avenue, 3900 block. Between 4 p.m. Oct. 13 and 1:50 p.m. Oct. 18. Copper piping, valued at $1,000, was stolen from an unoccupied home. Burglars broke in by using a ladder to get through a first-story window, cut the pipes and left the water running, causing the basement to flood.

Quatman Avenue, 3500 block. Between 5 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Oct. 15. A white ceramic piggy bank containing $10 in change was stolen from a home. Burglars got inside by forcing open the front door. The victim told police that tools, electronics and fishing rods sitting in plain sight were undisturbed during the burglary.

Hoerner Avenue, 8600 block. Between 12:45 and 1:16 p.m. Oct. 13. A Yamaha PW50 motorcycle was stolen from the backyard of a home.

Pinewall Place, unit block. Between 12 and 9 a.m. Oct. 13. The hasp on a storage locker inside an apartment complex was pried open, but nothing was reported stolen.

Beryl Road, 8300 block. Between 7 a.m. Oct. 12 and 7 p.m. Oct. 13. A girls Dynacraft mountain bike, valued at $200, was stolen from the driveway of a home.
