A Family Affair Children's Center

We have a full preschool program serving children ages two through five years old. We use creative curriculum which is a theme based, teacher created curriculum. We have a music teacher who comes once a week and we take several field trips a year. Our 2’s and 3’s Program In our 2’s and 3’s room we focus on helping children master self-care tasks such as toilet-training and using cups and forks as well as building social skills. We also lay the foundation for future academic learning with the basics such as the alphabet, colors, and basic math skills such as patterns and counting. Our 4’s and 5’s Program Our 4’s and 5’s program focuses on Kindergarten readiness. We cover all developmental areas including literacy, math concepts, science, social skills, music, and art all couched within a fun and interactive theme such as “Animals” or “The Beach.” Learning activities related to each of those topics are done throughout the week. Before and After School Care We provide before and after school care for children who attend Pine Grove or Harford Hills Elementary. We are open when schools are closed. We do a variety of indoor and outdoor activities such as: ○ Table games ○ Crafts ○ Legos ○ Outdoor play We also offer homework help, a morning and afternoon snack. Children are picked up and dropped off from the center by the BCPS bus system. Summer Camp We offer a school age summer camp for Kindergarten—5th graders. Three buildings on Parkville's Main Street are scheduled to go to auction early next month. Auctioneers <a href="http://www.ajbillig.com/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">A.J. Billing and Co.</a> recently posted notice on their website that properties at 7913, 7915 and 7917 Harford Road will go on the auction block Oct. 4 at 11 a.m. The properties at 7915 and 7917 Harford Road total 2,385 square feet and are <a href="http://www.ajbillig.com/index.php?option=com_hotproperty&amp;task=view&amp;id=15231&amp;Itemid=26" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">being auctioned together</a>. The adjoining property at 7913 Harford Road is 1,020 square feet and <a href="http://www.ajbillig.com/index.php?option=com_hotproperty&amp;task=view&amp;id=15232&amp;Itemid=26" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">will be sold the same day</a>. Two of the properties are currently occupied by businesses: Sipping Pretty Wine Consultants is located at 7915 Harford Road and is located at 7913 Harford Road. Representatives from Sipping Pretty and Maryland Office Systems could not be reached to comment on how the sale of the buildings might affect them.
