Child Identified Who Died In Baltimore Co. Townhome Fire
A man was also injured in the blaze, which was first reported around 10:45 p.m. Tuesday, according to officials and a report.

PARKVILLE, MD — A child is dead and a man is in critical condition following a fire at a townhome in Parkville on Tuesday.
The victim has been identified as 4-year-old Wyatt Martin.

The fire broke out around 10:45 p.m. at a townhome located in the 100 block of Comet Court, according to Baltimore County fire officials and a report by Fox 45, which said a family member called authorities after entering the residence and discovering heavy smoke on the first floor.
According to officials, firefighters pulled an adult male and Martin from the blaze. Fox 45 said both were found inside a bathroom on the second floor of the home suffering from cardiac arrest.

EMS staffers began resuscitative care immediately, and both victims were taken to area hospitals in critical condition. Martin was pronounced dead at St. Joseph’s Medical Center.
The fire was brought under control around 11:15 p.m., officials said.
Officials said the home had working smoke detectors and a fire extinguisher inside at the time of the blaze.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
This is the second fire fatality in 2026 in Baltimore County.
