Man Charged In Killing Of 65-Year-Old In Baltimore County

PIKESVILLE, MD — Authorities have arrested and charged a man in connection with a 65-year-old's death in Baltimore County.

Michael West, 47, has been charged with first-degree murder following the Nov. 12 killing, Baltimore County police said in a statement.

According to police, officers responded to the 1800 block of Snow Meadow Lane in Pikesville around 1:15 p.m. that day to conduct a welfare check. When they arrived, officers found 65-year-old Emmanuel Grant Jr. suffering from apparent trauma to the upper body.

Grant was pronounced dead at the scene. Police did not release additional information about Grant's injuries.

West is currently held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
