ROSEDALE, MD — Dairy Queen closed its Rosedale restaurant recently.

"Valued customer we are closed permanently," the note read. "Thank you for your patronage over the many years. We will miss you!"

Dairy Queen told Patch that the eatery, known for its burgers and ice cream, closed in late March.
"The franchise owner was unable to sell the restaurant," Dairy Queen said in an email, saying it couldn't answer how many employees were affected or if they had a chance to transfer. "This was a franchised location and all crew were employed by the former franchise owner. The former franchise owner would have to answer this question."

The stand-alone restaurant was located at 8650 Pulaski Highway in the Centre at Golden Ring.
