House Fire Draws Crews From Across Baltimore County

A house fire drew crews from across Baltimore County this weekend. Firefighters prevented the flames from spreading to neighboring homes.

ESSEX, MD — An Essex house caught fire Saturday morning, drawing crews from across eastern Baltimore County.

Nobody was hurt in the blaze. The cause of the fire was not announced.

The call came in around 10:30 a.m. on Four Winds Way, located in the Walnut Point community.

Back River Medic 58 arrived to heavy smoke showing at the two-story, single-family home.

Essex Engines 7 and 71 arrived soon after and started extinguishing the flames.

Eastview Engine and Truck 15 arrived, assisting with extinguishment, search and rescue efforts and ventilation.

Other responders included the Bowleys Quarters Volunteer Fire Department, Golden Ring Engine 16 and Middle River Engine 12 and Medic 4.

The fire was under control by 12:55 p.m.

"Units held the fire to the home of origin," the Baltimore County Professional Firefighters Association said on Facebook. "Their quick actions prevented any extension to adjacent homes."
