Greene's Family Butcher Shop Issues Call For Help After Storm
The daughter of a Kingsville business owner is asking for donations and customers for her father's shop, which faces a loss from the storm.

KINGSVILLE, MD — A business owner in Kingsville is restocking his merchandise after storms ripped through the region on Tuesday and left thousands without power. As of Thursday evening, more than 12,000 Baltimore County customers are still experiencing outages, according to BGE.
John Greene, who owns Greene's Butcher Shop, lost power at his store until Wednesday, according to his daughter. She launched a GoFundMe campaign to help him recoup some of his losses.
"Upon reopening, my father was forced to dispose of thousands of dollars worth of meat and product due to the power outage and an anonymous call to the health department," Ericka Greene wrote on the GoFundMe page.

Two compressors were blown as a result of the power failure, she said, adding another expense.
"My father puts his heart, soul and life into this dream day-in and day-out to ensure the community, his family, and everyone involved, no matter who it is, is happy at the end of the day," Ericka Greene wrote. "This is his dream, and always has been his dream, to provide others with what he loves to do! If you can help at all due to this unfortunate circumstance, we would greatly appreciate anything you can do! Even choosing to shop at his small business rather than the big box stores would be so helpful and meaningful to him. You won’t regret it and you’ll definitely taste the difference! THANK YOU ALL IN ADVANCE! We love you!"
