Pancake House Opens 1st Baltimore County Restaurant
A pancake house opened its first Baltimore County location recently. It's one of several new businesses at the White Marsh Mall.

NOTTINGHAM, MD — The Original Pancake House opened its first Baltimore County location recently.
The breakfast-all-day eatery is located in Nottingham's White Marsh Mall. The mall announced the pancake house's debut on April 10.
The restaurant replaced Red Robin, which WMAR said closed in late 2023.

The Original Pancake House has four other Maryland locations in Annapolis, Baltimore, Bethesda and Rockville.
Spinoso Real Estate Group in August 2024 announced the restaurant's plans to open, saying it would span 6,278 square feet at the mall's food court entrance.

The Original Pancake House was established in Portland, Oregon in 1953 by Les Highet and Erma Hueneke. The family business is now led by its second and third generations, and it has over 100 franchises.
Signature menu items include a large apple pancake "smothered with sautéed apples and cinnamon sugar baked to perfection" and the Dutch Baby, "an air filled delight oven baked to golden perfection and served with lemon, whipped butter and powdered sugar."
Omelets, waffles and crepes are also available.
"Our recipes demand only the very finest of ingredients, such as 93 score butter, pure 36% whipping cream, fresh grade AA eggs, hard wheat unbleached flour, and our own recipe sourdough starter," The Original Pancake House website says. "Our batters and sauces are made fresh in each restaurant’s kitchen."
The Original Pancake House opens daily at 7 a.m. It closes at 3 p.m. on Mondays through Thursdays. It's open until 4 p.m. on Fridays through Sundays.

The new eatery is among several new businesses coming to White Marsh Mall.
Kanji Sushi is currently under construction in the space previously occupied by The Greene Turtle in the food court.
Lula Mae's Gardin, a southern eatery, was open in the food court by December 2024. It was closed temporarily, but it is reopening this Wednesday.
When Patch visited the mall on April 12, there was a coming soon sign for a Sbarro pizza stand in the food court.
That day, there was also a sign advertising that Perfume World was coming to the second floor between Kay Jewelers and Charlotte Russe.
