Pikesville Crash Leaves 1 Dead, 2 Injured: Police

A driver died after a crash in Baltimore County, police said. Two other people were hurt in the wreck.

PIKESVILLE, MD — A Monday crash in Pikesville left one dead and two injured, police said.

Officers said a 2004 Toyota Corolla sedan was traveling south on Reisterstown Road at around 12:30 a.m. when it collided with a 2020 Lexus RX350 SUV making a left turn from the westbound exit ramp of Interstate 695.

A press release said medics pronounced the Toyota driver, 22-year-old Jefferson Mena-Rivas, dead at the scene.

Medics took the adult female Toyota passenger to a hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries, police said.

Officers said the Lexus driver suffered minor injuries and was also taken to a hospital.

Authorities are still investigating.
