A drug trafficker who smuggled fake oxycodone between airports in laundry softener bottles as part of a drug ring has been sentenced. The DEA investigation began after a woman in Washington, D.C., took one pill and died as a result of acute fentanyl intoxication.

Rachel Morin Remembrance Walk To Mourn Slain Mom

A memorial walk will be held next month to honor slain mother of five Rachel Morin. Her body was found after she went missing in August 2023. A man was arrested on June 14 on unrelated charges and faces six criminal counts in Morin's death, including first-degree murder.

MD School Board Member Working, Living Out Of State Since January

A local school board member had been splitting his time this year between Maryland and Missouri where he accepted a new job as the chief academic officer for the Ferguson-Florissant School District in the St. Louis area, which was announced in December.
