$10 Million in Damage From 3-Alarm Shopping Center Fire
The North East Plaza Shopping Center suffered major damage in an overnight fire.

A fire in a North East shopping center caused $10 million damage early Thursday.
The early morning, three-alarm blaze brought nearly 100 fire and rescue personnel from Cecil and Harford counties, as well as Delaware and Pennsylvania, to the North East Plaza Shopping Center, according to the Maryland State Fire Marshal.
Two firefighters were treated for minor injuries at Union Hospital and have been released, the statement said.
The incident, which began inside a rear storage area of Frank's Pizza, remains under investigation according to a release from the fire marshal's office.
The fire traveled through the roof, the release stated, and caused damage to GameStop, Northeast Liquors, Cecil Bank, Images Salon, Little Caesars, Olympia Sports and Rite Aid.
The fire began at 12:08 a.m., and was controlled within two-and-a-half hours, the fire marshal said.
