82 New Teachers Welcomed As School Starts
Business and Education Partnership Advisory Council hosted a reception for new teachers in Cecil County last week.
Cecil County Public Schools has 82 new teachers for the 2013-2014 school year, and the Business and Education Partnership Advisory Council hosted a reception for them last week near Perryville.
The event was held at the Iron Master's Mansion in Principio Furnace, according to a news release from BEPAC.
"This event allows us to welcome these teachers not only to our county school system but into our community," Linda Tipton, BEPAC President and Senior Public Affairs Manager for Delmarva Power, said in the release. "We host this event to let them know of the great partnerships that exist here in Cecil County and that the BEPAC organization is here to support them."
In conjunction with the reception, the Cecil County Classroom Teachers Association held a new teacher store event, the release said.
BEPAC strives to enhance education in Cecil County through interaction between the schools and business communities, according to the release. The organization will celebrate its 25th anniversary next year.
