Cecil County Executive Danielle Hornberger Cuts Paramedic Response Time in South Cecil County

Elkton, MD: Cecil County Executive Danielle Hornberger formally placed Paramedic Unit 103 into service at the Southern Paramedic Station located in South Chesapeake City.  The ambulance, which is the first to be owned by Cecil County government, will be operated by the Department of Emergency Services and soon provide round the clock coverage to supplement the efforts of the Cecilton, Hack’s Point and Chesapeake City fire companies.

“Today marks a significant milestone in the provision of emergency services to the  citizens of Cecil County," stated County Executive Hornberger.  “This initiative will reduce the response time needed to provide life saving measures for our residents while minimizing Cecil County’s reliance on the Kent County, Maryland and State of Delaware’s ambulance services.”
