Public meetings have been held elsewhere in Maryland as the statewide curriculum standards are rolled out. One in the Baltimore area led to an arrest of one attendee. Charges against the man were dropped.

Following the arrest, though, state officials said they would not alter curriculum.

Baltimore County schools superintendent Dallas Dance released a video describing Common Core.
