Police Identify Human Remains Found Near Elkton
Human remains found near Elkton a week ago have been identified, state police said. The cause of the man's death has not been determined.

ELKTON, MD — Remains found March 10 near Elkton were that of a local man, Maryland State Police said Friday. Investigators have identified the skeletal remains as Eric Martin Startt, 37, of Elkton.
Physicians from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore identified Startt using medical and dental records. The cause and manner of Startt’s death have not yet been determined, state police said in a news release.
Starrt was reported missing to the Maryland State Police North East Barrack on May 13, 2018. Investigators have worked since then to locate Startt and investigate his disappearance.

Shortly after noon on March 10 an Elkton resident reported discovering what appeared to be human remains in a wooded area adjacent to Red Hill Road. It is not known how long the body had been in the woods.
Anyone with information about Startt's death is asked to call TFC Wildman of the Maryland State Police – Criminal Enforcement Division at 410-996-7814. Calls may remain confidential.
