Reports: Woman Struck by Lightning in Rising Sun

A woman working at a zoo near Rising Sun was struck by lightning during storms Thursday morning, according to Weather Channel reports.

The Baltimore News Journal reports the woman was hospitalized and is in stable condition. The woman, 19, was struck at Plumpton Park Zoo, where she works, according to the report.

The first batch of forecast severe weather came through the Baltimore area Thursday morning, with more rain to come Thursday afternoon. A flood watch remains in effect for Cecil County through the evening.
