Slots Funds To Buy Port Deposit Dump Truck

Hollywood Casino Perryville is distributing nearly $400,000 in grants to community organizations.

CecilDaily.com reports the 35 organizations receiving grants—out of 45 applicants—include nonprofits and local government agencies. Perryville area recipients include Habitat for Humanity, American Legion Post 135 and Perryville Fire Company, according to the report. The largest grant of $50,000 will go to help Port Deposit buy a dump truck.

The casino posted nearly $8 million in revenue in June, according to the Maryland Lottery.
