Softball: Perryville Looks To Sweep Warriors

The Warriors and Panthers meet in a Class 1A region semifinal Wednesday afternoon.

The Panthers are looking to maintain their one-run magic on Wednesday.

After two close contests in the regular season, the Perryville and Havre de Grace softball teams clash Wednesday in a winner-take-all battle in the Class 1A North region semifinals in Cecil County.

First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Perryville High School.

As the Panthers and Warriors are the higher seeds remaining, the region final would be played at the home of Wednesday's winner.

The Panthers reached the state semifinals in 2012 after reaching the state finals in 2010. The Warriors have never reached the state tournament. See more MPSSAA history here.
