The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for parts of Cecil County.
The warning, in effect through 5 p.m., covers northeastern Cecil County and central New Castle County in Delaware. The National Weather Service radar showed a severe storm with a possible tornado near Cherry Hill, DE, moving east at 24 mph.
The alert urges residents to take cover and move to an interior room on the lowest level of a sturdy building to shield from debris. A severe thunderstorm warning remains in effect through 9 p.m.
