Weekend Construction Could Cause Delays on Hatem Bridge
The upcoming bridge work is part of a $48 million preservation project.

State transportation officials are warning of noise and congestion around the Thomas J. Hatem Memorial Bridge this weekend due to concrete pouring.
The work this weekend, which officials said in a release is "necessary to secure the structural integrity of the bridge piers," is scheduled from 6 a.m. Saturday to 3 p.m. Sunday.
If weather or other factors delay the work, some construction may be done next Wednesday, May 22, through Thursday, May 23, according to the release. The release also advises area residents of construction-related traffic on westbound US Route 40, Otsego Street and Water Street in Havre de Grace.
