The group Yares participated in was called Cohort 7. It included a mix of administrators from Conservative, Reform, Reconstructionist and Orthodox Jewish day schools, according to a news release from Krieger Schechter.

During the training, administrators "learn to articulate personal visions of educational leadership and gain an understanding of a leadership style that is grounded in self-reflection and Jewish values," the release states.
It's a 15-month course that includes two consecutive, three-week summer sessions and a series of three-day retreats run by mentors.

"Our fellows represent a very broad range of North American Jewry in their affiliations and pratices," Frances Urman, director of the institute, said in the release. "What they have in common are their tremendous intellectual gifts, their commitment to educational excellence, and their desire to serve and perpetuate the Jewish people."
