'Buddy,' Volunteers, Promote SPCA's March for the Animals

A hound mix named Buddy and two volunteers made the rounds Sunday, promoting an April 29 event to benefit the SPCA.

A cute, young hound mix caused quite a stir at the Sunday afternoon as he and his two SPCA-volunteer companions greeted shoppers.

Near , Buddy got to lick the hands of about six people who couldn't help but bend down to greet his clumsy, big-pawed cuteness.

Although many said they wanted him, no one had yet asked to adopt him, said Jesse Collins, volunteer for the SPCA at 3300 Falls Road, Baltimore.

But that didn't worry Collins. "We won't have any trouble getting him adopted," he said.

Collins, along with Megan Peal who is also an SPCA volunteer, and pet supplies store, were promoting the Maryland SCPA's upcoming March for the Animals event.
