Pikesville Groups Perform at Arundel Showcase

The two groups performed Saturday at the Arundel Indoor Spectacular at Arundel High School.

Two Pikesville groups performed Saturday at a showcase at Arundel High School.

The show featured a total of seven groups performing dance, percussion and color guard routines. One Pikesville group, called In Progress, performed an interpretation os selections from The Lion King. Another Pikesville group, In Theory, gave a performance based on the theme "What is Time?"

  • Glen Burnie High's tribute to Doctor Who, the British science-fiction series, featuring percussionists from the school.
  • Smyrna High School's dance mash-up of songs with the theme "Empower," and a performance set to the song "Save Me" by Evanescence.

The Arundel color guard capped off the afternoon with its performance of "Be Yourself," which tells the story of a young girl whose dolls come to life. The award-winning performance features a rousing routine set to the song "Barbie Girl" by Aqua.
