She’s using her new leadership role, plus work with Make-A-Wish and Jewish Student Union, to create joyful, community-building programs that connect local Jewish families and inspire her own children to volunteer.
   

• Christmas Eve Miracle nets Eastern Shore nurse $2 million lottery scratch-off win (wmar2news.com) — A still-unclaimed Maryland Lottery Holiday Raffle ticket worth $1 million was sold at the 7-Eleven on Reisterstown Road in Pikesville, so check any tickets you bought there in early December. The story also highlights two other big, yet-unclaimed wins in Delmar and Gaithersburg, reminding players to sign tickets and watch the 182-day claim window.
   

• Maryland Car Rally Task Force Dismantles Illegal Car Rallies Across Multiple Counties (thebaynet.com) — Based out of Pikesville’s Car Rally Task Force helped shut down several large illegal car rallies and planned exhibitions across Howard, Prince George’s, and Montgomery counties, some drawing hundreds of people. Troopers and local police made multiple handgun and drug arrests while using heavy patrols to keep roadways and parking lots from being taken over.
