Pikesville Teen to be Honored at Golf Fundraiser

Registration is open for the Oct. 1 Dynasplint Systems, Inc. Annual Get Tee'd Off for Arthritis Golf Tournament in Pikesville.

Jake Gelvar, 17, of Pikesville, will be honored in October during a golf tournament to raise funds for the Arthritis Foundation.

Gelvar has had enteropathic arthritis for more than six years and used a wheelchair at one point because of the severity of the disease, according to a news release from the foundation.

The tournament is set for Oct. 1 at the Suburban Club of Baltimore.

It's called the Dynasplint Systems, Inc. Annual Get Tee'd Off for Arthritis Golf Tournament and registration is now open to players.

A foursome can register for $1,000, and individuals can register for $250 to benefit the Arthritis Foundation's support of research for arthritis treatments and a cure.
