2 Killed, 5 Hurt In Head-On Crash In Potomac

Two people died and five were seriously injured in a head-on collision in Potomac this weekend, police said.

POTOMAC, MD — Two people died and five were seriously injured in a head-on collision in Potomac Friday night, Montgomery County Police announced.

The deceased were identified as Hersh Bhansaly, 25, of Bethesda and Brian Everett Laurence, 25, of Potomac.

Police said Bhansaly and Laurence were passengers in a Mercedes CLA45 AMG. The Merceds was going east on Oaklyn Drive and a Ford Expedition was going west.

The two cars collided "for reasons still under investigation" at Pleasant Gate Lane before 8 p.m., police said.

The driver of the Mercedes—Daniel Alex Epstein, 25, of West Hollywood, CA—was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A man sitting in the front-seat in the Mercedes was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The operator of the Ford was identified as Addison Leigh Poole, 16, of Derwood. She was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Two juvenile female passengers in the Ford were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
