POTOMAC, MD — Glenstone Museum in Potomac will be open until 8 p.m. on Saturdays in September, three hours past its normal closing, with special events planned throughout the month for these after-hours Saturdays.

Every Saturday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., visitors can enjoy a nature walk around the grounds of the private museum founded by billionaire Mitchell Rales in 2006. The museum also will be offering live Latin jazz on its patio each Saturday evening in September, along with beer from Elder Pine and Silver Branch Breweries.

Glenstone has assembled about 70 works by American artist Ellsworth Kelly for an exhibit titled “Ellsworth Kelly at 100,” a show that will be on display at the museum through next March.

In September, visitors can enjoy a curatorial discussion each Saturday at 6:30 p.m. of Kelly’s “Yellow Curve,” an oil painting on canvas and one of many “Curves” made by Kelly in the 1990s. Kelly died in 2015.

The nature walks at 5 p.m. on Saturdays will focus on Kelly’s love of nature and Glenstone’s organic landscape management practices, Glenstone said.
