The Montgomery County Police Department is investigating an armed bank robbery that occurred late Tuesday morning in Potomac.

POTOMAC, MD — Montgomery County police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred late Tuesday morning in Potomac Village near the corner of Falls Road and River Road.

The suspect, who was armed, entered the Wells Fargo Bank in the 9800 block of Falls Road in Potomac shortly after 11 a.m. on Tuesday, police said.

The bank robber stole an undisclosed amount of money and left the scene, according to police.
