'It's Academic': High School Quiz Show To Feature Bullis School
Students from Bullis School in Potomac will be featured on an episode of "It's Academic" airing in January. The show is in its 63rd year.

POTOMAC, MD — Students from Bullis School in Potomac will be featured on an episode of “It’s Academic” airing in January.
“It’s Academic” is recognized by The Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s longest-running quiz program in TV history. Throughout the show’s run, thousands of students from high schools across the D.C. area have competed. Now in its 63rd season, “It’s Academic” will be broadcast on WETA.
Students from Bullis School will be competing against students from Centreville High School in Virginia and students from DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville. The episode with Bullis School will first air on Saturday, Jan. 6.

Episodes are initially broadcast on Saturdays at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. on WETA PBS. Each episode will encore the following Monday at 3 p.m. on WETA PBS.
Episodes will also be available to stream on YouTube at WETA PBS - YouTube, on the PBS App and at weta.org.

“It’s Academic” is hosted by Emmy Award-winning journalist Hillary Howard and produced by Altman Productions, Inc. in cooperation with DMR Productions LLC.
Mac McGarry hosted “It’s Academic” for five decades, from 1961, when it first aired, until 2011. The show aired on NBC-owned WRC-TV during McGarry’s long tenure as host.
