MD Student Had List Of People 'They Thought Should Be Harmed', Principal Says
The principal of a Montgomery County elementary school told the community a student kept a list of the people they thought should be harmed.

POTOMAC, MD — A Montgomery County elementary student was found with a page in their notebook listing all the people they thought should be harmed, according to school officials.
In a letter shared with the community, Potomac Elementary School Principal Nadia Kline-Taylor said the "concerning incident" was brought to her attention on Tuesday after the student showed the list to several others.
Kline-Taylor said school officials immediately investigated the matter with help from Montgomery County police and security staff.

"We understand that this news may be unsettling," Kline-Taylor said in the letter. "We want to assure you that we are taking all necessary steps to address the situation and are committed to providing you with transparent and timely updates as appropriate."
Kline-Taylor said counselors would be made available to students.
