The 1st District Montgomery County Police Department released crime information for Oct. 3-11.

Three burglaries and six thefts from auto were reported in Potomac in the Montgomery County Police Department crime summary for the period of Oct. 5-11.

Burglaries:

  • A residential burglary was reported in the 10500 block of Alloway Drive, Potomac, on Wednesday, Oct. 5. No further details are available at this time.
  • An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 7000 block of Mountain Gate Drive, Potomac, on Saturday, Oct. 8, at 3:15 a.m. Attempted forced entry; nothing taken.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 11000 block of Picasso Lane, Potomac, on Tuesday, Oct. 11, between 10:00 a.m. and 5:08 p.m. Forced entry; property taken.

  • Three thefts from vehicles occurred in the 8000 block of Inverness Ridge Road, Potomac, overnight between Friday, Oct. 7, and Saturday, Oct. 8. Forced entry; gas was taken.
  • Three thefts from vehicles occurred on Stable Lane and MacArthur Boulevard, Potomac, on Sunday, Oct. 9, between 10:30 and 11:07 a.m. Forced entry; property taken.
