Although the recent weather has made it feel like fall had arrived in Riverdale and University Park, it didn't arrived until Friday morning at 5:04 a.m.
The fall equinox marks when the days will get shorter as less and less sunlight remains during the day.
The Huffington Post reports that the equinox is when there is equal amount of light and night.

However, according to NOAA, the sun will rise at 5:56 a.m. Friday and set at 6:04 p.m.
