Ask the Dog Trainer Event

·      Where:  Clipper's Canine Cafe

·      When:  Saturday, Aug. 3, 11 a.m.

·      Description:  Ask the Dog Trainer event on the first Saturday of 
every month with Janet Oquendo. Janet is a certified professional dog 
trainer and the owner of Pawz for Health. She provides in-home dog 
training in the Maryland area.

·      Cost:  Free

Coach Purse and Longaberger Basket Bingo

·      Where:  Maryland City Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad, 3498 Ft. Meade Rd., Laurel

·      When:  Saturday, Aug. 3, 5 p.m.

·      Description:  In addition to the regular games there will be two jackpot games, two King Tutt pull tabs, two prize raffles, and one 50/50 cash raffle. Mighty Balls and Pull Tabs for cash prizes will be available also.

·      Cost: $15

Fall Fair Open House at New Chicago Dance Studio

·      Where:   New Chicago Dance Studio, 7505 Greenway Ctr Dr, Ste 003, Greenbelt

·      When:  Saturday, Aug. 3, 2 p.m.

·      Description:  New Chicago Dance Studio will hold a fall enrollment open house.  Attendees can play dance games and win prizes, one of which is a month of free classes. 

·      Cost: Free

"Ice in White" Event - PUL's 20th Anniversary Celebration

·      Where:  Camelot by Martin's - 13905 Central Ave., Upper Marlboro

·      When:  Friday, Aug. 2, 8 p.m.

·      Description:  The Pi Upsilon Lambda (PUL) chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. is celebrating its 20th anniversary by hosting an elaborate affair at the Camelot. 

·      Cost:  $50

Sunday Sunset Concert

·      Where:  Allen Pond Park, 3330 Northview Drive, Bowie

·      When:  Sunday, Aug. 4, 7 p.m.

·      Description:  The City of Bowie's Sunday Sunset Concert Series

·      Cost: Free

Artful Afternoon!

·      Where:  Greenbelt Community Center, 15 Crescent Road Greenbelt

·      When:  Sunday, Aug. 4, 1 p.m.

·      Description:  Artful Afternoon featuring a 3-D Workshop lead by Artist in Residence Karen Arrington.

·      Cost: Free

Forest Heights Day 2013

·      Where:  Terrell Avenue and Ottawa Street, Forest Heights

·      When:  Saturday, Aug. 3, 11 a.m.

·      Description:  4th anniversary of the town's incorporation with food, music and activities for individuals of all ages at Tayac Neighborhood Park in Forest Heights. This year's festivities will also include a health fair with free screenings and giveaways. 

·      Cost: $3

St. Mary's Peach Festival

·      Where:  1 St. Mary's Church Road, Abingdon

·      When:  Saturday, Aug. 3, 11 a.m.

·      Description:  9th Annual St. Mary’s Episcopal Peach Festival.

·      Cost: Free
