Man Found Shot to Death in Riverdale Home

Investigators are searching for a suspect in the killing of 40-year-old Ivan Alvaro Aguirre-Herrera.

Prince George's County police are investigating the death of a man found shot to death Wednesday in a Riverdale home.

According to police, officers went to the residence in the 6200 block of Kenilworth Avenue around 4 p.m. to conduct a welfare check.

When they arrived, they found a man inside who had been fatally shot. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police have identified the victim as Ivan Alvaro Aguirre-Herrera, 40, of Riverdale.

Investigators from the PGPD's Homicide Unit are working to identify a suspect and motive in the case.
