PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A 20-year-old man has been charged with the shooting of a Riverdale Park police officer and shooting at a Bladensburg police officer. Josue Albarran-Dominguez faces assault, gun offenses and other charges stemming from the Nov. 8 incident.
A Riverdale Park police officer spied a car linked to a shooting that had occurred in Riverdale Park Oct. 31. When the officer attempted to stop the driver, he took off and the officer pursued him until the driver stopped the vehicle in the 4900 block of East-West Highway. The two men in the vehicle took off running and Albarran-Dominguez shot at the Riverdale Park police officer who returned fire but was shot. He has been treated and released from the hospital.
An investigation shows that Albarran-Dominguez also shot at a Greenbelt Police Department officer, hitting his cop car. That officer wasn't injured.
