Prince George's County Sheriff: Deputies Arrest Three Assault Suspects

Upper Marlboro, MD… The Office of the Sheriff's Warrant/Fugitive
Division reported the arrest of Donzay Taywuan Brown, Donnell
Floyd Brown, and Donna Veronica Brown on August 18, 2021, on a warrant for
First Degree Assault and Conspiracy First Degree Assault obtained by county
police on August 8, 2021.
According to the
warrant, on August 7th, Police responded to the 1900 Block of
Addison Rd South, in District Heights, MD, for a reported domestic violence
call. Officers arrived and spoke with a victim who reported having a physical altercation
involving a weapon with the suspects, Donna Brown, and her two sons, Donzay and
Donnell Brown. Police learned that the victim arrived at the residence to
gather some personal property to move out of the home, at which point the
suspects were alleged to have punched and struck the victim with a firearm. The
suspects are also alleged to have pointed the firearm at the victim while threatening
to shoot.

On August 18th,
deputies executed a warrant service in the 1900 Block of Addison Rd South, in
District Heights, MD. When deputies arrived, Donnell Brown answered, allowing
them to enter the home. Once inside, Donnell Brown, Donzay Brown, and Donna Brown
were all identified and served the warrant, placed into custody, and safely transported
to Prince George’s County Police District III Station, without incident.
Donzay Brown is
also charged with Using a Firearm in the Commission of a
Crime, Second Degree Assault, Reckless Endangerment, and Having a Handgun on
His Person. Donnell and Donna Brown were charged with Second Degree Assault and
Conspiracy to Using a Firearm in the Commission of a Crime, Second Degree
Assault and Reckless Endangerment.
