Riverdale Park Hopes to Hire Planning Consultant for Cafritz Soon

Riverdale Park's mayor and council were supposed to vote on the mayor's draft letter to the Cafritz developers Monday night, however Ward 1 Councilman Jonathan Ebbeler asked for the vote to be tabled.

Ebbeler, who chairs the town's economic development committee, said he'd like a planner to view the design before council makes a decision. He also said council has additional provisions to add to the letter. 

Recently, the town put out a request for qualifications (RFQ) to gather the region's best planners to choose from and the economic development committee, which consists of Ebbeler, Ward 2 Councilman Alan Thompson and Ward 3 Councilman David Lingua, will be deciding on the finalists Thursday night. 

The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. in town hall at 5008 Queensbury Road.
