Riverdale Park Town Center Open House Set for June 6
Douglas Development has partnered with town and county agencies to seek potential tenants for its vacant storefronts.
In an effort to draw new businesses to Riverdale Park's Town Center, county and town agencies are partnering to host an open house for potential tenants on June 6.
Earlier this year, Douglas Development—who owns several of the vacant storefronts in the Town Center—began readying the property for tenants by building out spaces and installing gas lines.
Now, the company is partnering with the Town of Riverdale Park, Prince George's County Councilmember Eric Olson (D-District 3) and other county agencies in an attempt to lure potential retailers and offices to the Town Center. A total of 16,715 sqft. of space are available for lease.

From 3 p.m to 5 p.m. on June 6, interested business can check out the open spaces at 6200 Rhode Island Ave. in downtown Riverdale Park. County and nonprofit agencies with also be on hand to talk about small business develoment and financing.
"Getting tenants in the Town Center and making our historic commercial center economically viable was always one of my top legislative priorities," Riverdale Park Councilman Jonathan Ebbeler (Ward 1) said in an email.

"It is incredibly rewarding seeing results come to fruition that will benefit the entire town for decades to come," Ebbeler wrote.
