Two people were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries after an 8-vehicle crash on Interstate 495 this afternoon, according to a Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services spokesman. The crash occurred on the eastbound inner loop of the Beltway near University Boulevard, Assistant Chief Scott Graham said. All lanes on the Beltway have reopened and the vehicles involved have been towed, according to a Maryland State Police spokeswoman. Delays may linger, however. Use our <a href="https://riverdalepark.patch.com/commute" rel="nofollow">live traffic map</a> to avoid jams.
