1 Dead, At Least 5 Hurt In Montgomery County Crash: Authorities
The incident involved a semitrailer and the entrapment of multiple people, authorities said.
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — One person was killed and at least five others were injured in a crash Sunday morning in Montgomery County, according to authorities.
The incident occurred around 4 a.m. on eastbound Maryland State Route 200 at the Georgia Avenue exits near Norbeck, where multiple vehicles — including a semitrailer — collided, causing the entrapment of two people in two separate vehicles, according to Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Service Chief Spokesman Pete Piringer.
One person died and five more were taken to receive medical assistance, Piringer said, adding two people refused medical transport and over 40 firefighters responded to the scene.

All lanes of eastbound Route 200 had reopened by 9:30 a.m., according to the Montgomery County Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security.
