Bowie Motorcyclist Dies In MoCo Crash: Police
Montgomery County police have released the name of a Bowie motorcyclist who was killed Saturday in a crash in Brookville.
BROOKEVILLE, MD — Montgomery County police have released the name of a Bowie motorcyclist who was killed Saturday in a crash near the 22000 block of New Hampshire Avenue in Brookeville.
The fatal two-vehicle collision occurred about 6:17 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 9. The victim has been identified as 30-year-old Patrick Adam Smith, according to a police news release.
Investigators said Smith was driving a black 2006 Triumph Rocket III motorcycle northbound on New Hampshire Avenue when, for reasons still under investigation, he lost control and collided with a silver 2013 BMW 128i that was southbound on New Hampshire.

Despite lifesaving efforts, Smith was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the BMW, an adult male, reported no injuries and was not taken to a hospital. Authorities did not release the name of the BMW driver.
