ROCKVILLE, MD — Authorities say they've tracked down and killed a coyote that attacked at least three people in Rockville on Thursday.

The coyote first attacked a 59-year-old woman walking her dog on Winder Court around 10 a.m., according to Rockville police. She was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and the dog was quarantined.

The attack followed a sighting around 5:30 a.m. A man walking his dog told authorities that he spotted the coyote acting aggressively near Princeton Place.

The coyote was spotted again on Aster Boulevard around 11 a.m.

Around 4 p.m., authorities said a child was bitten by a coyote on a trail near Nelson Street and College Parkway.

A third person was attacked on Redland Boulevard.

All the injuries were not life-threatening, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue.
