• Rockville police welcome their first-ever bloodhound to K-9 unit (wtop.com) — Rockville City Police just welcomed Dare, an 8‑month‑old bloodhound, as the department’s first-ever scent-tracking K‑9, focused on finding missing people rather than catching suspects. Paired with Cpl. James Shieder Jr., Dare expands the city’s lifesaving capabilities, especially in cold-weather searches, and joins existing K‑9 Bolo on the Rockville force.
