Patch Honors Montgomery County Grads: Congrats, Class Of 2020
Let's congratulate the graduating class of 2020 in Montgomery County!
ROCKVILLE, MD — Patch wants to provide a way to share the achievements of our graduates, even if it's in a small way. We know many seniors are sad about missing milestone events.
We hope that this will give the community a way to share their pride in our class of 2020.

Gabrielle Jacques, University of Maryland, College Park
Our Lady of Good Counsel's Gabrielle Jacques will be studying business administration and marketing at the University of Maryland.

Charlie Thomas, Cornell University
The Walt Whitman senior will be moving to Ithaca, New York, to attend Cornell University. He hopes to get a degree in chemistry.

Dev Zoks, University of Maryland, College Park

Dev Zoks, a Thomas S. Wootton High School senior, will be attending the University of Maryland to study business.

Elizabeth Weir — a senior at Rockville High School — will be studying exercise science at Salisbury University.

Quince Orchard's Samantha Harrington will be attending Towson University.

LeVar Harris, Jr., Culinary School

LeVar Harris, Jr. — a senior at Albert Einstein High School — is heading to culinary school.

Jonah Schwartz, Penn State University

The Quince Orchard senior will be studying music theatre at Penn State University.

The Bullis School's Maya Hersh is moving to Florida to attend Stetson University.

Collin McCarthy, of Quince Orchard High, will be pursuing a bachelor's degree in fire science at Anna Maria College.

Jennifer Roop, University of North Carolina Wilmington

Rockville High School's Jennifer Roop will be attending University of North Carolina Wilmington.

Noah James Patrick, Enlisted in the U.S Coast Guard (Boatswain's Mate)

The Quince Orchard senior will serve our country as a member of the U.S. Coast Guard.

Sherwood's Gabriella Munsey will be majoring in biology at the University of Maryland.

Jeremiah Battle, Stevenson University

Albert Einstein's Jeremiah Battle will be attending Stevenson University, where he will major in Film and Moving Image.

The Quince Orchard senior will be attending the University of Maryland.

Ethan Pichler, Michigan State University

Ethan Pichler, of Northwest High, will be attending Michigan State University, where he will study psychology. He plans to go to law school afterwards.

Samantha Crane, Virginia Tech

Stone Ridge's Samantha Crane will be getting her bachelor's degree at Virginia Tech.

Jaedyn T.S. Harris, McDaniel College

The Gaithersburg High School senior will be studying aerospace engineering and joining the wrestling team at McDaniel College.

The James Hubery Blake High School senior will be taking a year-long hiatus after graduation.
From the family: "We are so very proud of you Ashby, we know the last two years of high school has been difficult, especially having to go to Blake and Thomas Edison and now with the virus going on. Khaliah Jennings, Stevenson University

Khaliah Jennings, of Gaithersburg High School, will be studying biochemistry at Stevenson University. Down the line, she hopes to get her doctorate and become a biochemist.

Stephen Goldberg, The ARC Montgomery County

Stephen Goldberg, of Seneca Valley High School, will be working with The ARC Montgomery County's supported employment program.
From the family: "I would like to Congratulate my son, Stephen for working hard in his high school years. Being in the Learning for Independence Program to help him learn in a smaller, better environment has helped him a lot. They did many out of school Community Trips as well as volunteer Job Sites, that he enjoyed very much. Stephen was looking forward to getting a job and going to Montgomery College to take some classes to help him learn computer skills, along with additional math and reading skills that would benefit him in finding a job. Stephen, as well as myself, was looking forward to his Senior graduation in June.
At this time, we are not sure what is going to happen with that. In the meantime, Stephen continues to do his classwork on his Chromebook he obtained from the school and is keeping in touch with his friends and teachers. Stephen has done a great job and I am very proud of him."
Colby Sisco, Carnegie Mellon University

The Quince Orchard High School senior will be studying mechanical engineering at Carnegie Mellon University.

JJ Wilson, of Quince Orchard High School, will be studying biology (pre-med track) at the College of William & Mary.

Jack T. Faucett, a senior at Quince Orchard, will be attending the University of Maryland. The Terp hopes to get a degree in accounting and finance.

An artist in the making, Layla Alemi is taking time to explore all her post-graduate opportunities. She is graduating from Montgomery Blair High School.

Paige Callis, of Damascus High School, will be majoring in rehabilitation services and minoring in pre-occupational therapy at East Carolina University.
From the family: "Even though the end of you senior year didn't turn out as planned, please know that you have made us proud. We've loved cheering for you on the field hockey and lacrosse field and in the pool. Playing three varsity sports and keeping a high GPA isn't easy. We love you and can't wait to see all your successes at ECU."
