Man Charged With Rape After Meeting Girl On Metrobus, Luring Her To Wooded Area: Police
A man charged with second-degree rape met a girl on a Metrobus, then assaulted her in a wooded area in Rockville, Montgomery police said.
ROCKVILLE, MD — A man charged with second-degree rape met a girl on a bus, then lured her to a wooded area in Rockville where she was assaulted on April 10, Montgomery County Police said.
Charles Erby Jr., 46, was arrested on April 12, and charged with second-degree rape of a minor. Detectives are concerned there may be more victims who have not contacted police.
NBC Washington reported Erby talked with the victim on a Metrobus; when she became uncomfortable she got off the bus in the 13000 block of Veirs Mill Road, a location with wooded areas next to a cemetery and sports fields.

Erby followed the victim and lured the juvenile into a wooded area, where he sexually assaulted her, police said in a news release.
Police arrested Erby in Washington, D.C., where he is being held awaiting extradition to Montgomery County.
