Woman With Medical Condition Missing from Rockville Group Home

Police concerned for the well being of Tonya Simms

Montgomery County Police have asked for the public’s help finding a missing woman from Rockville.

Tonya Simms, 53, left a group home at Chadwick Lane on Tuesday at around 9:30 a.m. but never made it to her final destination, a group home in the Kemp Mill area, Police said.

According to police, Simms suffers from paranoid schizophrenia and has a heart condition.

Simms is described as an African-American woman, about 5-foot-4 and between 100 and 130 pounds.

Police said she was last seen wearing a gray fitting cap, a black and white scarf, a brown coat with a fur collar, a multi-colored sweater, and a blue button-down shirt.

She left the Chandwick Lane group home on a Metro bus.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Tonya Simms is asked to contact police.
