The Davidsonville Country store is one of those old-time crossroads kind of places where you always run into someone you know. It's a place to go for gas or to pick up milk or bread on the way home. But those in the know also go there to get a great sandwich. They have soups and pizza, hot sandwiches, cold sandwiches, breakfast items and a bakery. Their portions are generous and everything tastes like it was made seconds ago (it was). If you're running late for work one morning, stop in for an egg sandwich ($1.59). Vegetarian sandwiches like the Homestead (Havarti cheese, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, carrots, avocado and honey mustard dressing) for $5.89 are delicious and filling. Don't even get me started on Frannie's pies. Stop by, they're open 6 a.m. on weekdays and 7 a.m. on weekends.
